a) make sure you do NOT use the “load more” ajax options in modules,
b) try turning off the related posts option in posts
c) try turning off the “suggested for you” flyout box
d) try NOT using mega-menu
e) make sure you increase the default memory in your wp-config.php file to at least 96MB (see my “sticky post” on optimization for how to do that).
ADMIN: should likely add the wp-config.php memory upgrade option as a “requirement” for pre-install notes!
Hi,
@gfm1978 – what version of the theme and Visual Composer do you use? If possible please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , include a link to this conversation and provide wp-admin and ftp access. We will take a look at your configuration, maybe the issue comes from something else.
@meremetia – some of the old problems were solved in the newer versions of VC, please try the latest version and see if the issue is still there.
Thank you!
@meremetia
we’re using the theme across multiple news portals without those features which are very minor elements of the theme, frankly. However, the suggestion was there to help debug WHAT was causing CPU usage for that person — and what might have been causing that many versions back in June, vs October are two completely different animals. v6 of the theme is very different from v4, and also VC has been updated and tweaked quite a bit since then.
In your case – were you just commenting, or did you yourself actually have a CPU issue — you didn’t specify if the problem impacts you, or you were just editorializing.
