Is there any way in-built in the theme to ensure a particular post (or posts) does not appear on the home page AFTER certain date or days? I believe plugins are there but they don’t always seem to work. Still, any suggestion for such plugins will also be appreciated. Thanks.

You could create the posts, and then schedule them with a publish date
