Home page displaying wrong category articles

Hi

The Home page of the News Mag Demo theme displays articles from different categories.

I have added several categories and they are showing up in the World News, Travel Guides,Tech and Health categories on the home page.

Is there any documentation on why this is happening and how to correct it?

Hello Stewart,

Please use this guide to learn how to properly use the blocks filter: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ You can filter any category you want ion the blocks. Please note that if a post has multiple categories set to it, it will show up anywhere one of it;s categories is specified.

Thanks.

Filters (blocks) seem backwards. I know its composer or wordpress but it would be easier just to say only category id in this block rather than all the category ids you want excluded.

Or am I reading this wrong?

Hi,

If you only want to have 1 category on the block you can simply pick it from this dropdown: http://screencast.com/t/Y8RUUCR6CPP
If you want 2 categories to show, leave that dropdown to “all categories” and place 2 category id;s in the Multiple categories filter. If you want to have all but 2 categories for example, leave the category filter on all and then add 2 category id;s with a minus in from of them in the multiple categories filter. You can basically sort exactly the category that you want whether its a single one, multiple ones added or multiple removed.
