I am trying to implement a 3 column homepage layout similar to the one on this website: http://www.chaki.fr/ (saw it under the showcase websites).
However, I keep getting a small sidebar columns with a huge space in between, My banners 320×280 don’t fit properly. Please help so I can get the two side columns larger. See Screenshots attached.

unfortunately the theme width cannot be changed as our theme elements were built using a fixed width and if this width is changed, then the elements will lose their positioning and the website will “break”. If you have to change the width, then you need to adjust every element you use on your page and it will be no easy task as it’s a fairly complex css. what you can do however for your ad placement is have 2 columns or 1 column in place for your ads in parts of your homepage. (you can have 1, 2 or 3 column layouts on the same page) like so: http://screencast.com/t/3zFNPkto this method will create enough space for your ads.

Thanks Bogdan, So this means the Chaki guys did a lot of CSS customization because their website is also Newpaper theme
