I am trying to figure out if I can display a horizontal block or widget at the end of every post as shown here Pl let me know if it can be done easily. Thanks.

I am using version 7.8.1 (eager to upgrade to 8 with tagdiv composer but waiting to hear from others:-) )

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no option in the theme for this, and modifications to the theme files may not work properly in future updates. Something similar is the Related articles section that is displayed after the posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/related-articles/
If you plan on updating to version 8 and tagDiv composer, this editor is not available for posts. Maybe you can find a plugin that might have the capability to insert that section in the post content.

Thanks

Thanks Simion. I wanted to do something more than just Related articles.

Do you mean to say the manual codes entered in Theme Panel’s Custom Code section will not work if I upgrade to Version 8? Or only if I switch to TagDiv composer?

How is the experience of users who upgraded to version 8 but didn’t switch to TD composer? By policy I am in no hurry to upgrade but would appreciate inputs.

Hi,

Codes entered in the theme panel custom code sections will work properly. What I meant was that some users are using Visual composer on posts and entering specific elements in the post pages. That may not be the best solution, if you plan on using the new tagDiv composer in the future. It was never recommended to use Visual composer on posts. The new front-end composer cannot be used on posts, only for pages

One can still use Visual composer, but it should be taken into consideration that in future theme updates, more elements and options will be added exclusively for the tagDiv composer only.

Thanks

Got it. Yes, I never used VC for posts so far I remember.

My specific question is, is there any issue if I, for the time being, NOT use td composer and still keep upgrading the theme version and use VC as usual? In other words, is Newspaper’s compatibility with VC still and will be taken care of?

Thanks.

Hi,

The theme will be compatible with Visual composer. If something will change in this regard there will be notifications previous to this. Or if Visual composer will no longer be available bundled with the theme.
As long as it will be provided in the theme package you can use it like before.

Thanks
