How are headlines truncated?

How does the logic work for when a title gets truncated in a module or not?
Truncated Headline

The full headline highlighted in this pic is only 5 characters longer than what is shown, and other headlines in the same module are much longer without being truncated. The full headline for that article is “Not Stopping for a School Bus Could be a Felony in Tenn.”

Where is this controlled and how is it decided how a headline is truncated?

Thanks,
Kent

Hi,

That would be quite unusual. The automatic excerpts should respect the settings you choose. First the type of the excerpt, then the value you set for each module

That looks like block 1, check what is set in the module 6 for the title length. Note that if for example a value of 12 is set this will actually display 11 letters/words.

Thanks

Thanks! That helped. That title just happened to have a lot of short words in it so it appeared to be longer than the one below it. Now I know how to adjust it.
