Hi Bogdan, sorry for the late response. What I want to do is add an image to it. If I modify 404.php, will that not be overwritten by a new version of Newspaper?

Hello,
yes it will be overwritten when updating so it’s best to keep a back-up of your modifications so you can re-apply them after an update.
