How can I create Featured Post ?

I want some of consolidated post list (old and new post) to shown in Home Page.
Kind of Sticky post.

Create new category called ‘featured’ – then select that category to display on home. This is how we do it here for our slider of featured stories on our news portals.

Or – we use ‘Featured’ as a TAG – the ONLY tag we use – that way it can still be categorised “News’ ‘Sport’ ‘Lifestyle’ etc etc as well as its tag (Featured) and then it will ‘fall’ into that CATEGORY when it falls OUT of your slider 🙂 – useful if you’re publishing lots of posts per day – we publish 15-20 and so it’s a great way of selecting ‘Featured’ posts that are still available on their relevant Category Pages – and the home page category ‘tab’
