How can Leaderboard ads be placed above menu

1. With menu style 5, is there a way to place the Leaderboard Ad space ABOVE the main menu bar? (and ensure it can support wide responsive ads?).

2. We have sidebar ad using TD widget. But Google is only serving 300×250 ads. With old ad slot we would get 300×600 skyscrapers (using same, responsive ad code). Is the ad slot limiting that?

Hi,

1. You can edit header style 5 file and place the ad code before the menu: http://screencast.com/t/dF3YwVB0DjQ

2. If you use adsense you try to set ad size from Theme Panel > Ads: http://screencast.com/t/3nQDNWth

1. Didn’t work for me. I placed Google Adsense code above the menu. But it doesn’t show. I’m using child theme, so maybe that is issue?

Quick update re: placing leaderboard above menu. It does work when modifying header-style-5.php. Child didn’t work (and upon reviewing your documentation I now learned something more!), but direct edit did work.

Still, I did not like the look, so we’ll try other positions.

Hi,

If you use child theme please note that we have changed the child theme system (for which we will have a documentation available soon) and because of that at the moment modules and parts files can’t be overwritten via child theme. Until then please make you change in the main theme file.
