How do I add a row to the top of all my pages on my site?

I am using Newspaper theme with the Default Pro layout. In my Cloud Templates, I have a “Header Template – Default PRO” and a “Single Post Template – Default PRO”. Under Page templates, there is a “Homepage – Default PRO” but no single Page template in my Cloud Templates. In my Single Post Template, I added a row to the top of the page that will show ads below the navigation and above the post content. I would like to do the same to all my existing pages, but I do not have a pages template that I can edit. Right now, my pages look exactly like my posts, with the same layout, navigation, sidebar, and footer, however they do not contain the ad row that my posts have. How can I add this to all existing pages? Alternatively, is there a way to add a row to the “Header Template – Default PRO” under the logo and navigation part that collapses in mobile? I tried adding a new row to the bottom of the header template under the navigation, but when the navigation switches to mobile menu, the row disappears.

Hi,
There is no default template for pages. Each one can be created, duplicated, and customized using tagDiv Composer as you prefer.
For pages, you’ll need to edit them individually with tagDiv Composer and add the row containing the ad. You can easily copy this row by right-clicking on it, then paste it into each page using tagDiv Composer.
Regarding the header, the desktop header is different from the mobile header. Therefore, if you set something on the desktop header and want it to appear on mobile as well, you’ll need to switch to the mobile viewport in tagDiv Composer and add the element in the header section: https://i.imgur.com/Vc8V7kP.png
Thank you!

Thanks for the assistance. I added the row to the desktop header and also to the mobile view, and now it is appearing everywhere so thanks for that suggestion. Regarding there not being a default template for pages, perhaps there should be. I don’t really see a downside to that.

Hi,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue.
Regarding the page templates, they can be duplicated, making it easy to create another page with the same layout as one you already like. Additionally, our developers considered that, in most cases, pages will not have identical designs. This is the main reason why a cloud based page template similar to the one available for articles, was not implemented.
Thank you!

Looks like this theme has had issues displaying the top bar on mobile for over a decade? Anyways, I’m struggling with something I feel shouldn’t be a struggle. Top bar works fine and as expected on all formats EXCEPT it disappears on mobile. I’ve stared at the screen shot offered above, to no avail. I’ve tried to duplicate the only row that remains, thinking I can just add the menu element and change the new bar to black, but that doesn’t work; the first bar just gets taller instead of actually duplicating. I’ve tried adding a row, but can’t seem to figure out what elements need to be placed just to achieve what is working in the other desktop and tablet layouts.

What would you have me do to fix this? Levaire.com

Hi Levaire,
The Newspaper theme uses different headers for desktop and mobile. If you’re using a Cloud Header, you can customize it separately for each device just switch the viewport and make the necessary adjustments.

I am using the Cloud template, yes. But change what settings? They all look like they are the same, mostly empty, but then the top bar simply disappears in the mobile display?

Hi,
As I mentioned, the header for mobile is different from the one on the desktop, so what you can do is to copy the top row from the desktop and paste it on mobile https://i.imgur.com/2opJ8Qv.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/SqZTzMz.pnghttps://prnt.sc/sbSC2mhHa4OL

Yeah, that doesn’t seem to work so well? I can copy the row, but pasting it before (or even after) the existing mobile header just makes a jumbled mess.

Hi Levaire,
It is possible to not look so nice on mobile as it does on desktop, but you can adapt it, add/remove elements and adjust them so it will look nice – https://prnt.sc/k9DYYjMuPwwN
