How do I create a child theme for Newspaper theme?

Hello,

I would like some help creating a child theme for my newspaper theme. I’ve been editing my site without a child theme for about a week or so. If I create a child theme now, will I lose any of my progress?

Hi,

A child theme is provided in the theme package. You can use that to customize the theme, without making changes in the main theme files. Please not that not all the theme files can be overwritten by the child theme. If you make modifications to the theme files directly, you will lose them when you update the theme.
