How do I create an all black background just like pre-built website Black Pro?

Hi,

I imported the pre-built Black Pro website, thinking it would give me a black background. However, the background seems to be white.

When trying to change the background color through the theme panel, nothing happens.

How can I most efficiently change the overall background color to black without changing every row itself?

I can update the background now, but the homepage isn’t full width now. How can I change this back?

Also the blocks/rows stay white. When changing the individual background colors of the rows, the margin-bottom stays white and can’t seem to be changed?

Hello!

That can be done using tagDiv Composer and setting it from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/ZfgakcYKDN

In PRO demos all the modifications can be done using tagDiv Composer.

Thank you!

Hi Vlad, thank you for your response.

However, changing the shadow size or color doesn’t change anything to the margin-bottom css (or whatever the whitespace below is). See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/2Oml85n

What should I do to just get the clean black background across the whole site just like the Black Pro demo, without any white spaces?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello!

On that please check if you can click on it, it should be an element called zone: https://www.screencast.com/t/MgllPAsx

The background changes the same as for the ROW.

Thank you!

Hi Vlad, thank you! I’ve been able to get most of the background the color I wanted using the zone you mentioned.

However, I now have a bit of whitespace underneath the menu and above the footer. See screenshots here: https://imgur.com/H7ux1d7 and https://imgur.com/IrrvCk5

How can I fix this?

Hello!

Edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on those spaces and it could be an element called “Empty column”.
You could try to delete it like this: select the row, press the button delete from your keyboard, then with your mouse select “YES”.
Also you have another option too, check this: https://www.screencast.com/t/pxuOzYIIpcG

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hi Bettina,

Thank you! It is however not an empty column, but the margin area of the header and of the last element just above the footer. As you can see the margin area in the css is set to 70: https://imgur.com/a/ie1V4gP. When I turn it off the whitespace disappears, but there is not enough room between the header and the start of the page/body: https://imgur.com/rRo5RPE.

I think that, since margins can’t have colors but just show the color of what’s underneath, that the site underneath is just white colored. If I can make that the same blue color, everything would be fine. I don’t think there is a way to do that within the tagDiv Composer however. Do you know how I would solve this?

Hello!

Apply a padding top : 70 to your page content zone, not for the header.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!
