How do I get a menu category Item to open a New BuddyPress Activity?

I have created a “Start Conversation” button on the main menu of my website to launch a BuddyPress Activity, where users can initiate topics and discussions. How do I link this menu category to the BuddyPress Activity? Also I want to hide this button if the user is not logged on, is there a plugin for that? In my previous website I had a premium them and I used a “If Menu” plugin, but it does not work with the current News Paper theme version 8.1.

Thanks!

Hi,

I believe the menu item will direct to the activity by default if you add it in the menu

This menu item will not be displayed for logged out users.
The theme does not have options to hide menu items based on user login status, if this is required. I could not recommend plugins that would have this option unfortunately.

Thanks

Thank you, I found a work around, I just created a link and redirected it to a group in buddypress.
