How do I get captcha on sign up popup

Hello
Im trying to get a captcha or more preferably a custom anti spam question to appear on the sign up popup box to stop spam bots from signing up (All it would take for a spammer to destroy a site would be a simple imacros script on loop.) I have tried a few plugins and non seem to appear.
Any help would be great. thank you.

Oh just read some old thread looks as though will need to sort out this myself.. wonder if just deleting whats inside the login popup replacing with code from login with ajax plugin instead would work???? Any tips atleast?

Hi,

To make this appear on the login modal, you will have to edit the modal itself. This is where the modal is defined in the theme

The elements that are present there will be displayed in the modal. You can try and make the modifications there, remove the elements you want if required or add what needed.
