Hi, I want to filter my category top section by a specific tag slug. Is there a way for me to be able to edit the category page using visual composer? If not how would I change the API to let me filter the category top section by a specific tag slug?

By default the theme does not have options to control the posts displayed in top grid on category page. However this can be achieved by editing the category.php file and ad some if else statements like here: http://screencast.com/t/9zcZxQ2ofSEH

There isn’t a unique articles option for category pages. Is there any other way I can hide my features posts from the latest posts block?

Using the above method there is no other option to control the article uniqueness on category page. You will need a custom script and unfortunately I cannot provide a solution at the moment.
If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.
