How Long Do The Bookmark Cookies Last?

How long will the cookies in the Bookmark function last?

The bookmark function works well and was easy to implement. I would like the cookies to last a long time.

Here is an article as an example to bookmark “Frank Sinatra’s Palm Springs Home” & the bookmarks page.

From what I can gather, it appears that the cookie is “tdb_favourites” and that it only lasts 24 hours. Is that correct? Is there a way to ensure that the cookie lasts a long time?

Hello,

Is it possible to only allow logged-in users to bookmark the article or if they are not logged in, popup windows appear to ask users to log in to bookmark the article?

If this is not included in the feature currently, can you please inform your developers and ask them to add this functionality in future updates?

Eric : Yes, that is correct. I will add a request to our improvement list, so you can have an option to choose how much time you need for the bookmark.

Hello @Bettina. While waiting for an update so that an option to choose how long bookmarks last, do you know where the cookie is being set?

I could not locate ‘tdb_favourites’ in the ‘functions.php‘. I do not mind using a child theme or making a temporary update to the function file.
