Hey. I wanted to ask if the BIG GRID look of the Newsmag Scandal demo be achieved somehow with Newspaper ?

Basically, which option will let me display the title of the article in a colored box? Is this even possible with Newspaper or is exclusive to only Newsmag ?

Please notice that every demo has been custom made and it involves custom work. The Big Grids are different in Newsmag than to Newspaper and if it not a simple task to achieve the similar layout, sorry! If you want to develop our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

That is really bad news. Lol.
I have another question now. I’m ready to purchase the theme for that particular layout but I want the big grid to be different. I want the same look but with 2 posts (don’t remember exactly which BIG GRID layout it is). So can i just switch to another big grid and still have the title inside colored box?
Also, is there a list which outlines the differences between newspaper 7 and newsmag 3? Before making a purchase i would like to know what all features are missing in newsmag as compared to newspaper. Thank you.

We get often this question regarding the differences between our themes. I can tell you that the both themes share the same core so their functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another. Newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while Newsmag’s width is 1021px and the Newsmag’s theme grid has been designed to support the borders you notice between sections of a page: http://screencast.com/t/pNkgzN1Kn8Y5
