Hello
i am looking to use font awesome icons with newspaper theme. How can i add such feature with newspaper theme without using any plugin?

Simplest way is grab the cdn link from font awesome site and add to your header.php or footer.php file. I just did this for a test project.
If you are advanced you could also enqueue to load last in the speedbooster plugin.
