How to change background color?

Hi,
I import a pre-built website and I don’t know how to change the background color.
I’ve tried to change it through “theme panel> theme color> general theme colors> background color” and it didn’t work.

I know the background color can be changed by modifying the zone background color or the row background color and stretch it. But is there any way to change it directly? Because there would be some areas that I can’t change color by the methods I mentioned.

I changed the zone background color below and the row background color in the header. But I can’t even click the zone of the middle area so that it remains grey. How should I do?

As you said, I know the background can be set on the row (click the element, select the row, change css background color, strech row) ,or click anywhere of the zone and then change css background color. But it only takes effect on the yellow area I marked.

I just can’t find a way to modify the area I marked in green. I can’t click it to set zone color, and there is no row on it. And it’s not a part of the header. And I’ve also removed all the values of margin, padding, and border for testing.
