now those abstract of posts is a bit long, how on the home page can I adjust and reduce text to be shown?
also at left bottom footer, how can I post to the Editor Picks section there?

Editor picks can be edited using the tagDiv composer by opening the footer page as you can see it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/4gVmXQO9
