How to change Hyperlink text color on Article Text

Hi tagdiv, I have started to add links to some of the content within the articles on my blog imontreal.ca.

As an example I added a Hyperlink to the Montreal Jazz Festival website on one of my posts, unfortunately it is red in color, which I definitely do not want as it is too aggressive, I was hoping to have more of a classic blue link, or even other colors but I checked everywhere in the backend and on the forum and could not find out how to do it.
Example:
https://www.imontreal.ca/montreal-places/10-things-to-do-in-montreal/

Can you please inform me how to do this so I can add more links to the blog that look good in other colors.

Thanks,

Johan De Leon

Hi,

You can set a color on that link using the classic element ( or classic editor ) like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/e0Z9ur8F -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hBjoRzzRgy
Or you can try this custom css for changing the link colors -> https://www.screencast.com/t/b7CW0qN61Q
.single .td-post-content p a{
color: blue;
}

Hope this will help you!

Thanks Calin, how can I access ‘Classic Editor’? That would be my preferred option but I cannot see how to get at it…
Let me know please.
Thanks,

Hi,

If in you current version of WordPress you have the Gutenberg editor, you can add the classic element in this way -> https://www.screencast.com/t/tI3cSHgJ6L or you can install the classic element plugin.

Thank you!

Hi Calin, I was able to use the css code successfully to change the color of all my links within my post content. However, it is not working when I try to adjust it for page content and apply it to my pages using this code:

.single-page .td-page-content a:link {color: #0066cc;}
.single-page .td-page-content a:visited {color: #800080;}

I added the CSS to the Custom CSS section in the Newspaper Theme Panel. Do you know why this code might not be working for page content? Example page: https://www.tamborasi.com/about-us/

Thanks!

Hi,

This custom css
.single-page .td-page-content a:link {color: #0066cc;}
.single-page .td-page-content a:visited {color: #800080;}

is will target only the single articles (the posts), will not work on pages, for pages you need to use this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/wURqZYj.png
.page .td-page-content a:link {color: #0066cc;}
.page .td-page-content a:visited {color: #800080;}

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
