How to change post preview from text body to meta description?

For the ArtBlogPro theme, it’s currently previewing content by pulling from the post body. We can’t figure out how to default this to the post’s meta description. Website

Hi,

The excerpt is getting the content from the beginning of posts, but this is only if there is no text set in the excerpt zone -> https://i.imgur.com/BLvoT6p.jpg

Hey, Anamaria! Thanks for the response. That makes sense!

My follow up question, though, is that we have over 200 posts already on the site. So I’m concerned about having to manually update every single one.

Is there any way to get around that? For example, if it checks “except box” first then goes to “post body”, can you change the place it looks from “post body” or “meta description”?

Unfortunately, there is no workaround. You can let the excerpt be taken from the post content.
