How to change the demo category names

Hi

I am using a newspaper 7 demo installation. I want to change the category names. for example the category “sport” seems to be on the slider on the front page. I want to change the category name “sport” but keep the news articles that were published to that category. So for example I have a news article about Turkey’s referendum that was published under the sport category. I want that article to automatically show in the new name that I choose for the category rather than “sport”.

Is this possible? and what is the best way to do all this.

1) In one of the forum questions I noticed that someone from tagdiv support said we can change the category name but we should not change the slug name, is there a reason for this ?? Will it affect the sitemap.xml

2) Can we remove categories or sub categories, for example, the college category has sub categories “financial”, “campus” etc, will removing the category or subcategory cause any problems with sitemap? I just about got google searches to work don’t want more problems
