How to disable "Bespoke Web Development & Design Services – Get free quote" ad

Hi, I have unsuccessfully searched how to disable the tagDiv ad banner “Bespoke Web Development & Design Services – Get free quote” showing on every page of the wp-admin console.

Could you tell me how to disable it?

You sell a theme to developments and you populate the theme full of pub about development of your own business! How ethical is this? Every wordpres page is full of your banner pub, this is worst then a trojan. Please provide a fix.

This was the worst theme update ever. Ads everywhere. I’m extremely disappointed with TagDiv.

They have introduced a new On/Off toggle in the System Status tab. I tried it in RC 12.4, and it works perfectly. It will be available in the upcoming 12.4 update.

I agree with others that these Ads should not be displayed on the Admin Panel. We are all asking to erase it, not to turn it on or off.

There are many “free plugins” displaying their own ads on the plugin setting pages and most WP lovers do not take care about these, since we are using the plugins for “free”.

Why do we have to turn it off by ourselves?

If this theme has levels (with prices) like “free”, “Pro” and “Premium” versions and ads will be displayed only on “free”, then I suppose we all understand and accept it.

I suppose we (including myself) really love and rely on this theme. This is the only reason that some users are mentioning “extremely disappointed what they did”…

It will be great if all Ads are erased and we do not have to turn on/off toggle every time we set up this theme, even if we only do this once (like reviews feature…).

Last, I hide these ads by adding css. (.td-admin-web-services {display: none !important;})

I hope TagDiv team will read my message.

To be honest, I’m also a bit irritated about it. Ads everywhere, even in the composer. Luckily I only maintain my own sites but for people who use the theme for their clients the update must have been a shock.

This was incredibly anti-customer. Incredibly.

It’s really annoying to have announcements everywhere!!

It gives the impression that they are in need of business, that they are on the verge of bankruptcy.

For everything there is a right way and an easy but wrong way to do things. You were doing the right thing with the newsletters from time to time and you changed it to the easy and wrong by placing banners all over the interface with images that you serve from your own site!

Another thing is no one likes ads, that’s why most of us charge for displaying it.

A fair solution if you want to communicate with us to a section under welcome page in the main settings dash not all over the page.

I understand that for you it is not useful, but for other users it is.

Am I understanding you correctly? TagDiv done some kind of poll or data analysis to determine there are significant numbers (i.e. a majority) of paying customers who find it useful to have advertising plastered throughout the entire admin system of their WordPress site? I find that very surprising, and would love to see the results of such a poll (or some other form of data you’ve analysed to come to the conclusion the majority of customers find it helpful).

Or would it be more accurate to say that TagDiv finds it useful to have their advertising throughout our websites?

Whilst I am surprised TagDiv didn’t come forth with an apology (and instead seemed intent on justifying behaviour that has understandably pissed numerous customers off, and in some cases annoyed the clients of those customers), I am pleased the recent update provided an easy way to disable the advertising.

I would suggest it be disabled by default. Then those customers who find it helpful to have your advertising all through their site admin system can turn it on and enjoy the advertising they like so much.

I’ve been using WordPress since before it was even launched as “WordPress”. And I’ve used hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of different plug-ins and themes. I recall only once coming across a paid plug-in that started showing promotional content to users, and it was swiftly removed (and apologised for) when customers complained. TagDiv is the first company I’ve come across that seems to think it it is justified to force advertising into paying customers websites.

I suggest reconsidering that position, and sticking to the great work you do in creating and maintaining your themes as your business model.

TagDiv: I think you’ve pissed off many in your loyal community (including me) with this money fleecing tactic.

Please don’t try to coerce people into giving you more money. It’s unethical and makes us lose respect in your company.

There is nothing wrong with requesting the ads removed. But really, going on about it like someone shot your dog is a bit overboard. lol
