I want to disable to open the image in popup.
and Gallery i want it in the old fashioned way
when a image clicked in gallery it should go to attachment page.
I tried giving the image to attachment page but still it is showing in popup
I think you can disable this in theme panel.
Probably good idea to do what I just did this past weekend after upgrading from 1.71 to 3.1 — just go through EVERY screen in the theme panel to see where everything is, and get a sense of what options are there to turn stuff on/off; that’s how I knew about the sidebars thing for categories. Was just there 🙂

Make sure that the general modal image is deactivated in theme panel > post settings: http://screencast.com/t/ozy593OV The theme doesn’t have an option to disable the modal image in galleries, but you can try to remove this code: http://screencast.com/t/FtDm2bLbkZYu

I’ve tested the solution and it works fine on my end. Try to clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again.

That is an attachment page which is a default feature of wordpress, you can read more about this here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Image_and_File_Attachments You can link only single images to attachment page: http://screencast.com/t/anrGTdMqlsFA , the images from galleries will be opened automatically in modal window.

Indeed the option indicated was for a single image and unfortunately is not available for galleries. Even if you remove the modal window from galleries the image won’t link link to attachment page becasue there is no implementation in this regard. There is necessary a new approach for gallery to achieve the desired result but for the moment I can’t provide a solution as this task involve lots of customizatiosn in theme’s files, basically the gallery’s code must be rewritten.
If you really need this my advice is to look for someone who can help you or hire a developer to do it for you as we can’t provide customization services.
