I can’t get shortcodes to output content in image captions.
Is there something I need to put somewhere? I guess some code like > do_shortcode image_caption
I don’t know where and how to put it. It must be Newspaper theme related because it displays in the AMP version.

Sorry but our theme has no functionality in this regard. We have not tested shortcodes in the image captions. An image caption is meant to show text by default so we did not add any extra functionality to add shortcodes in the caption.

It seems rather strange that it works on the Newspaper AMP theme (by AMP for WordPress) which tends to strip down everything.
Normally it’s the other way around, fancy thinks don’t work in AMP.
Maybe the Newspaper is having a code line which does prevent shortcodes to show. These are simple text output short code, e.g. displaying a product price.
