I’ve been using the Newspaper WP theme since a couple months. Everything works great, expect the category titling. I created a category and named it: “PvP Texturepacks 16x 1.7/1.8/1.9”
The problem is that WordPress changed the categorys name to: “Pvp texturepacks 16x 1.7/1.8/1.9 Archive”
Is there a way to fix that problem? I’d also like to remove the “Archive” word.

The theme does not handle the ‘archive’ title. It is added automatically by wordpress. It can be removed however with the seo yoast plugin under the titles and meta settings.

Are you using Yoast SEO by chance? If so, go to Yoast Settings > Titles and Metas > Taxonomies. See if “Archive” is there, if so, try removing it.
I was using two SEO Plugins. Now i’m only using Yoast and everything works fine!
