I have trouble editing the footer template. Normally it will provide the button to live edit it but it doesn’t shown on the footer template. Where to enable or to find it ? Thanks.

I have the same problem. All the other templates can be edited with the TagDiv Composer. Only the footer template does not have this option.

The footer template can be edited only from the frontend, edit a page/post template with tagDiv Composer and go down to the footer, or if you want to assign one, use the Manager => https://www.screencast.com/t/GllWehU3l (the footer templates does not have the button to be edited in the backend).

Needing to edit the footer for each separate page or page template is obviously not the intended or expected behavior.
Will this bug be fixed anytime soon? Can you please provide a patch in the meantime?

If you want to have a different footer on the homepage and another for the posts, you can import where you want, for example, I have one footer on the homepage and another for posts => https://www.screencast.com/t/u9RdatuQHmEh.
This isn’t a bug. If the footer is set Global the change will apply for all the pages and posts. You can set the footer Global in Manager (Website Manager) => https://www.screencast.com/t/nTvSwAzcEyS1, or in Theme Panel -> Footer => https://www.screencast.com/t/ouw1xsJg.
