I am looking to modify how the mobile menu slides in and out, how to update the location of the social icons, how to expand the menu items by default instead of collapse, etc.

Hello!
In order to edit the order of the elements in the mobile menu, you can modify the file located at: td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/parts/menu-mobile.php
Unfortunately, for the animations, this will require custom work which is not covered by the support team.
