how to filter categories on homepage sidebar

Hi, I really need to filter some categories from homepage sidebar (mainly).
For exaple, take a look at this picture https://www.marraiafura.com/devnewspaper/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/how-to-hide-categories.png
Please let me know how to get it

Hi,

That would be the popular categories element, at the moment it does not have options to filter the categories that are displayed. It will show the categories with most posts.
If you would like to maybe exclude categories, you could do so in the code, using the category IDs like this

Thanks Simon, I’ve just tried and it works fine. Just another suggest if you can. I’m going to get a child theme, does it work at the same? Anyway, now I try.

Indeed, this customization can be made through a child theme. Files from the shortcodes folder can be modified through a child theme
