Link to the concerned post
I saw this effect on a newspaper theme based website wherein a forum thread is depicted in a boxed way in a post. Can someone please guide me as to how to go about doing that ?
Appreciate that very much.
The thread is titled “Boycott Nvidia not partners”

Hello,
I think you are referring to the blockquote style. Please read this guide:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/blockquotes-pullquotes/
Please use this setting when editing a post: https://www.screencast.com/t/QYUgAwvVxv
Thank you!
Hi Bogdan,
Thank you for replying.
No I am not referring to the quote segment. I use that quite a lot and love it too.
I am trying to achieve that reddit thread mentioned as a box on the blog post.
It’s just above the last paragraph of the blog post.
Thanks again.
Ahh, I haven’t tried that. I should have Lol đ
Thanks a lot Edward. I will give it a go.
I see a “formats’ drop down box in the screencast images but it’s not available when I am in my WP Admin on the post menu bar (even with the toggle turned on). How do I activate that additional menu?
Hi,
@therealshaunproulx The formats drop down is added by the theme, by default. Maybe one of your plugins is removing it or interfering with this section.
If you are you using any editor plugins deactivate theme and see if the formats are visible, or deactivate them all at once as a quick test (except theme plugins). See if this has any effect.
That was the issue and thank you. As soon as I saw your response I clued in that the plugin “WP Edit” was in use. YAY! Looking forward to using the “Format” options now.
Thanks!
