I created a new post type – “classifieds”. I am able to hide the featured image for “posts” through the theme panel > post settings > disable featured show featured image
However, this is not working for custom posts. It works only for posts. Is there a way to hide featured images for single-custom posts?

Hi,
For a custom post you can use a custom css to hide the featured image or use a post template, edit it for custom post type and remove the featured image.
