If I add content in Subtitle, it is not shown in the site wide search results thus skipping the blog article it is added to. Do you have a workaround for this?
Thank you.

Hi,

I don’t think the subtitle content is taken into account while searching, only the excerpt content. Are you maybe entering unique content in the subtitle which can’t be found in the post title, content, excerpt? If so, then the post won’t be found if someone searches for keywords from the subtitle, despite being displayed in the post page.

My suggestion is to also enter relevant keywords in the post title, or the post content, or even the post excerpt if you use a custom one. This makes it possible for posts to be discovered easier when searching.

Maybe we could have included the subtitle in the search process, but I don’t recall having requests to do so. The subtitle is usually used like a secondary title, not actually meant to be part of the search process, the title and content are the most important and relevant to the search.

Thank you!

Ok, that is a matter of perception. In my opinion everything that is part of the article should be foud by a search. Thanks, Jos
