Hi,

I submitted the application for adsense. On submitting they presented the page having the code which they are asking me to paste between <head> and </head> tags on the homepage of website. The screenshot of their instructions is here. http://www.screencast.com/t/cX6nqknOOZo
This is what they are instructing

Connecting your WordPress site
If you’re new to AdSense, one of your first tasks is to connect your site to AdSense. This requires you to copy the code on your AdSense homepage and paste it into the HTML of your page, between the <head> and </head> tags. To do this in WordPress, you can either:
Use a plugin to insert the code. You can use one of the plugins that lets you make changes to the “header” of your site
Or, place the code through your WordPress theme settings. We recommend not editing theme files directly. If the theme you edit is updated, your changes will be overwritten.
Your existing plugin or theme may have a feature for inserting the code. Here’s some additional resources from partners that you may be already using:
Genesis themes (see documentation)
Insert Headers and Footers plugin (see documentation)
Advanced Ads plugin (see documentation)
Ad Inserter plugin (see documentation)
Be aware that not all themes and plugins allow you to insert code into your site’s header. Note that Google is not responsible for malicious third-party themes or plugins.

Is there any option in newspaper theme that I can paste the code between <head> and </head> tags so that I can complete the adsense application process?

Thanks
Vineet

Hi,

Either manually enter the verification code in the theme main header file, between the HTML head tags (can be done in a child theme)
https://www.screencast.com/t/halA2xBG

Or easier, simply enter the code in this section – https://www.screencast.com/t/rMkLP4yW
It will be loaded in the theme header if entered there. The code will also not be lost after a theme update.

Or maybe use a plugin that can insert or load code in the header. But this would not be necessary if there is a theme panel section that can do that.

Thanks
