This is my first website. i have no idea od coding and website designing. i have just installed Newspaper theme, kindly guide me how can i install my Child theme ? In my Child theme folder i have two files 1. functions.php and 2. style (cascading style sheet document )
AM i supposed to get a child them .zip file??? is it missing ?

You don’t need a child theme if you don’t plan to customize theme’s features. If you’re saying that you don’t have experience with codeing there is o need to use a child theme.
With regard at installation you can generate a zip file then upload it in wordpress or you can upload directly Newspaper-child folder on the server via ftp in: your-wp-install/wp-content/themes.
