Hi,
on the search result page, the listing for the search term is showing the result for mobile and desktop. Each result page is listed for desktop and mobile, which makes them double.
Is there a way to limit the result only to desktop or mobile, depending from where the search request came (smartphone or desktop)?
For post this is not the case, only for pages. For pages I have created a regular and a mobile page using tagDiv Composer. Could this be the root cause for the search result page listing? What is a fix?
Hello!
Please provide more information about your issue, screenshots and your website link in order to help you efficiently.
A solution for sending a screenshot is this:
Download, capture, send: https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
After making the screenshot, you will have a link, paste it here.
Thank you!
Hi,
thanks for your respond. As requested a link to the screenshot:

and a link to the search page

hope it helps.
Hello!
When you edit the search page template with the TagDiv Composer, you will have some offset and limit for the posts : https://www.screencast.com/t/RngayAsrra
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Bettina, thanks
As mentioned before, it only effects the search results from pages content.
We have created mobile templates of almost all of our pages to optimise content to screen size.
Unfortunate, to our understanding, Newspaper theme can not serve search results according to mobile devices only.
A work around would be to create a search template for mobile and desktop each. Once done, exclude page IDs from search results.
In our case, for the desktop cloud template we will exclude all pages mobile templates. We will filter the pages by ID using the Posts Loop element “Exclude Post IDs” field.
Respectively we will proceed with the search mobile cloud template.
For the future, it would be nice, when Newspaper theme would do this out of the box.
Thanks for your help. Have a successful day.
