How to load one article at a time in Infinite Loading?

Hello,

I was using the Infinite Loading option and it greatly improved my pageviews and session duration. However, I noticed that it also slowed down the website A LOT and it was constantly affecting the performance. So, going into some deeper research, I found out that when user scrolled down and loaded the next posts, it was actually loading 5 posts at once.

All these requests were hurting deeply my performance and the website would go down even if only 200 users were accessing it simultaneously. So my question is, is there a way to only load ONE article at a time, instead of all 5?

Hi,

For me the infinite loading is loading only one article at a time, but you can make a test and edit the single post template and change the LIMIT ARTICLES NUMBER > https://i.imgur.com/DfDdQGD.png and check the performance.

Let me know the results!
Thank you!

I am having the same issue on https://servicenews.dk – so where can I find the settings, that you show in the image? I want to remove the infinite loading.

I am using the Default PRO.

I have opened up the template “Single Post Template – Default PRO”, but I don’t see the same settings.

Unfortunately, I had to remove infinite loading cause it was overloading the host and my website would go down if I had more than 150 users simultaneously.

I browsed the forum more and saw another thread where the user had the same issue. Dev recommended putting “99” on the article number. Not sure if this still works.

Btw, limiting to “1” the infinite loading it’s not the best solution, tbh. Cause, of course, it will only load one article and not multiple articles.

Hi,

If you want to remove the Infinite Loading, you need to edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/cccD9XR.png -> https://i.imgur.com/E0ljA46.png
We’ll make some more investigation and will try to optimize this option for the coming updates.

Thank you!
