Hello i’ve searched on the forum in order to found something, but all i have found is just an explain to put the sitename.xx/2014 <= and year here. But this will generate an archive page only for the year you put on the link. My request is that: is possible get a timeline (like the template we have on newspaper) but with the style of archive page? or something like an archive page ordered per month and year?
Thanks
Peppe Jari
There are some “sitemap” plugins out there which can build a timeline list of stories, although that might be 100 pages for some sites, and not practical.
Technically might be easier to simply use the built in hooks to generate the equivalent of the normal WP ‘archives’ widget for showing news by date….
maybe build a “page” and use visual composer, and insert the “archives” widget which would be a list of all your indexes by year, month ?
in any case I have seen some “sitemap” plugins that do what you want, so maybe look in the plugin repository for those as first step if you don’t know how to write the loop/query code on page template yourself.
this might help 🙂

Hi,
Unfortunately it’s not an easy task, you have to create a new template and use css to style the items. If you don’t have programming experience i suggest that you look for a professional developer to doit for you. We would have gladly made it for you but for the moment we cannot offer custom work, sorry for this.
The alternative would be to look for a plugin.
Thank you, Emil G.
Look for a plugin that can do this:
a) wordpress.org plugin repository
b) envato wordpress plugins
c) google is your friend….
