Hello,
I want to make my WordPress blog’s ‘Newspaper’ theme full width for the desktop version only.
Here are the things I want –
1. The widget (on the right) get closer to the right with only a little space left on the right hand side. However, the size of the widget area remains the same i.e., I only want it to push closer to right.
2. The content area stretches more to the left and leaves less free area on the left hand side.
3. Full width header area i.e., Logo stick to the extreme corner of left and also the top menu (in black) to begin from the extreme left.
4. full width footer area.
I think these all requirements can be achieved by just increasing the width of the container for the desktop version of the site, but I was a bit confused after looking at that huge CSS code.

theme – Newspaper
I will be very happy to receive some suggestions to make the blog more attractive, if you have any suggestions then do share them with me.
I tried to mention every detail here, but still if I missed any then let me know.
Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.
Hello,
Unfortunately the theme cannot be full width. The theme content area has a fixed width and it cannot be changed as all the theme elements depend on the fixed width. Changing even 1 pixel of the theme width will cause elements to break. Our theme was not designed with a dynamic width in mind.
We do not encourage changing the theme width and that is why you will not see any solution for this in our forum. You should do it at your own risk .
The header and footer content are still inside the main content which is not full screen. Sorry but I cannot help in these requests as you can understand why. We cannot provide any “solution” that will cause hard to the overall layout of the site as more and more issues will be caused by this.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. Well, I wasn’t expecting this reply from your side, but still you described it completely and I appreciate it.
I got it completely whatever you are saying, but in case, if I say that I need to achieve that anyhow then can you suggest me any plugin or anything that may help in achieving the same.
Also, if its possible for you, then can you provide me the list of elements that I need to change or alter to achieve those things I have listed above for the desktop version.
Thanks for the time and have a nice day sir.

Hi,
Unfortunately plugins cannot recognize the custom theme code so i doubt there will be a plugin that can help you in this regard. As for the theme elements that need adapting, the answer is all of them if you use all elements on your site. It depends on what you use. You will see if you change the theme width which one breaks and you have to fix it. As you can imagine, I cannot know what you use on your site it is impossible for me to provide any such list. Make a back-up of your site and give it a shot increasing the main container.
Thanks.
