how to move from default font woff to woff2

  • just want to know if its hard to move from default.woff text file to woff2 text file
  • Like just change the code from ussing .woff to .woff2
  • I tried a few thimgs but nothing seemed to work unfortunatly

    • like i know ho to convert it too woff2 but then..

Hi,

Are you referring to using woff2 custom fonts in the theme panel? That should work already. I made a quick test and uploaded one https://prnt.sc/nAldfornV7Fd and it can used correctly https://prnt.sc/26uFwW8fsZWb

Or maybe I am misunderstanding the question. Let me know.

thnx for answering but what i mean is the theme uses by default newsmag.woff font now i converted the font to newsmag.woff2 and want to use that instead so it replaces the original font on the entire website ….

I understand now. We should do that perhaps.

That font is in this folder in the theme https://prnt.sc/aOODTON6dZhQ It could be converted to woff2.
Then it will require making a change in the theme stylesheet here https://prnt.sc/CECR1aDfriZl to load the woff2 file.
If you want to try it you could do it and it should work fine. We will probably do it as well in the next theme update.

it doesnt seem to recognize it like this tho it keeps being set to the default woff file but i w8 for the update i guess 😉
