How to Personalize Popular category widget?

Hi
I would like to personalize the Popular Category widget:

– I would like to hide some categories, for example the “Without category” label or the “Featured” one.

– I would like to order the results according to descending number of posts.

Is it possible and how?

Hi,

You can exclude some specific categories using category ID here – http://screencast.com/t/uNeViurjJ this is used on our demo to exclude some categories, but you can remove that condition and add your own categories ids.

thank you Alin!

I got to hide some categories!

but the ‘order’ rule seems not to work…
I wrote in php file
‘order’ => ‘DESC’
but this is what I get: http://screencast.com/t/76EXHInzHsmB
as if the first category didn’t follow the rule

Hi,

The order should be already descending by default like you can see in the screenshot – http://screencast.com/t/a5oREOZfBQS as the popular category block is also used in predefined footer style on our demo like you can see it is descending order – http://screencast.com/t/nxZalZ926ZB
