Is there a way in which the ad can be placed above the image instead of below, which is the default setting in smartlist 6?

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to change without coding the functionality of smart list. You can do that only from the code. In order to achieve as you wish, you have to alter the code from the td_smart_list_6.php like this -> http://screencast.com/t/pUPOoV8dJIq and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/Fi71A4Ud5T2
