I am using pagebuilder + empty page template for creating the new page.

Hi,
You can split the row in columns, stretch the row to predefined widths or full width, but not actually reduce a row width.
What exactly are you trying to achieve? If you want a smaller width, split the row and use only the columns you want. Example

I want the background of the page to be let’s say red color. so when I am splitting the rows then I am getting the white background for the unused columns. I want to create something like that http://www.bestgroomspeeches.com where the width is about 800-900px ( just guess).
I want a big white box of width 900-1000 and then I will put raw HTML in it.

Maybe something like this. Use the row layout I mentioned previously. Set a background color of your choosing for the row and stretch it

Set a background color for the middle column

I am almost there. I was able to manage do most of the things.
I want to increase the width of the middle column where I am pasting all my text like in your example here https://www.screencast.com/t/TmXJy5jKkNof
when I am changing the width on the column in properties its not coming properly in all the devices plus it’s moving towards one side of the page.
Is there anyway to fix it.

You could use the stretch row and content option instead, that will increase the column width

If that is then too wide, you could reduce it by setting left and right padding for the text element

Other than that I can’t think of anything else at the moment.

So you could hide this row on mobile, and display a different or the same but with different settings for mobile.
