How to remove a background image in a post?

Hi,

Is there any way I can remove a background image from a post? After creating several posts without problems (and without background images), the next post suddenly had a background image – even though I am using the same post template and all other settings remain the same.

How my posts are supposed to look (and how all others look): https://www.screencast.com/t/f4itIJkCSq36

How the new post looks: https://www.screencast.com/t/MWUGWCTxCV1n

I have tried creating the post several times now with different names and links, and it looks okay at first. However, in the final stages (adding categories, changing the author and uploading the featured image) the background image suddenly appears again. It even happens regardless if it is a new post I have created or if I update one of the example posts that came with the theme.

I even tried to delete the image, which appears in the background, from my media center and I deleted the cache too, but the image keeps appearing.

There is no image uploaded in the Theme Panel –> Background –> Site background. And I use the default post template, which does not have a background image. Additionally, when editing the post I do not see anything about a background image.

I am going out of my mind trying to find the cause of this and where to remove the image, but still no luck, so I hope you can help me 🙂

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Luise

Hi again,

After my previous post, I kept trying to find the error. By chance I came past another post which has the same category tags. And although no chances have been made to that post, it too has a background image (the same as the other post).
I then found a template post, changed the category tags to make it similar to the posts mentioned above, and now it too has a background image.

So the error appears to be linked to that specific category tag, but I still do not know what causes it. Any ideas and suggestions as to how I can fix the error will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Luise

Hello Luise.
You seem to be heading in the right direction with the category. The answer is very simple and found in the theme documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
The posts will grab the sidebar and background from the primary category.
If you do not want a background, simply access that specific category setting from the theme panel and remove the sidebar set to it.
Thank you!

Thank you, Bogdan – this solved my problem.

I am still not sure why the error occured. I have not changed the category settings since I installed the theme, and there was no background image to begin with, so I don’t understand why it suddently appeared, but the important thing is that I now know how to change it.
Thanks for helping me.
