greetings,
we found that some of our pages have an additional h1 header which we would like to remove.

… and the list goes on.
It looks like one of the h1 (H1: Photographycourse.netFree Online Photography Courses) is setup by default somewhere. how can we fix this and change the h1 to be the title of the page? same as it happens for the blog posts?
thanks!
Hi,
As I can see most of them are titles set with h1 if the pages were made with tagDiv Composer, then you can edit them https://i.imgur.com/ZdhOSqs.png -> https://i.imgur.com/t1lbLc8.png -> https://i.imgur.com/qpWCrlr.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Thank you. I wasn’t talking about the titles that are made with the tagdiv composer. If you may notice in my message above, it is showing another h1 heading tag consistently on all of the pages “H1: Photographycourse.netFree Online Photography Courses”.
I looked further into this and was able to resolve the problem partially by going into the theme panel and removing the text from the “TEXT LOGO” and “TEXT LOGO TAGLINE” sections. However, it did not remove the whole thing for us. So looking again into the H1 tags, it now shows “Photographycourse.net” as one of the h1 tags for all the pages.
Here is an example of multiple h1 tags appearing on one of the pages:
https://photographycourse.net/marketing-tools-resources/
H1: Photographycourse.net (we are concerned about this one)
H1: RESOURCES (this one is setup through tagdiv composer)
After looking further into this, I found that it is probably coming from the logo: https://www.screencast.com/t/P010uyy6BoIG
Please help us in getting rid of this.
Thanks!
Hi,
Usually the h1 is set on logo, if you are using a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, you can have a different H1 per page/posts, another way is to using the Page Builder + Page Title on page template, this should set your page title as h1 and remove the h1 from logo.
If you want that your title to have the h1 set instead of logo, then please check if you are using a cloud header, if yes, then you can edit it with tagDiv Composer and disable the h1 -> http://prntscr.com/q1ohji.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Yes, we want our title to have the h1 set instead of logo, and we are using a cloud header.
The link you have shared is not working for me: http://prntscr.com/q1ohji
Please send a link the same way you did before using: https://i.imgur.com
Although I am unable to see the screenshot you have shared, I am pretty sure that you are talking about this: https://www.screencast.com/t/NYO0tYvX
Right? If yes, then we have already checked “disable h1 on logo”, and it doesn’t solves the problem.
Hi,
Yes, that is the option! As I can see on homepage that h1 is no longer on logo from desktop, make sure that you do the same for mobile logo -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xVUjIMUelXA2 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ABTw6DUnbMjH and the problem will be solved!
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
The reason why you do not see any additional h1 on the homepage is because we haven’t added any h1 headings in the page at all, so we are not sure why it is still showing an h1.
I checked the mobile settings for the logo, and found the h1 already disabled.
Homepage: https://photographycourse.net
Internal Page: https://photographycourse.net/fashion-photography-classes/
Both the pages above has an H1: “Photographycourse.net”
We haven’t added any H1 tag, either on our homepage above, or the fashion photography classes page, but it still shows “Photographycourse.net” as H1.
On the other hand, pages where we have added an H1 to a title, its shows multiple H1 tags.
Example: https://photographycourse.net/marketing-tools-resources/
H1: Photographycourse.net
H1: RESOURCES (the is the one we have added via the tagdiv composer)
I suspect that the problem lies here: https://www.screencast.com/t/ehQCp6fhve – but I may be wrong. Please see the code I have marked with red color. Isn’t that the logo containing H1? Another reason why I am sure that the header is causing this is that when I disable the header, the problem gets resolved.
This is very critical and we really need to solve this as soon as possible.
Thanks!
Domien
Hi,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel. We will take a look and we’ll remove the h1 from the header. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
