I have few posts on my website in which I want to remove the author name and fill with my custom name (some other name, instead of author) at the exact same place where author name is showing.
Hi,
The post must have an author. You as admin can create how many authors you want, then select from them while editing or creating the post

So you could create and select the author name you want for the posts you want.
Thanks
Can i completely hide the author name in specific one post. And at the place of author name i have to write any name(Not any author name) in specific one post…
Hi,
Unfortunately at the moment that is not possible by a theme setting, once the option is disabled in the theme panel it will apply for all the posts. Maybe such an option will be implemented in the future.
There will be changes to how the post templates are created in a coming major update.
So at the moment you could only do that with code modifications maybe, or CSS code.
Thanks
Simion,
Thank you for letting me know. Do you have an estimate on major update? I currently have my site copied and in a staging mode to update from v7.8.1
I would like to only have to do this one time vs taking the time to get everything updated to only have to do it again in a short amount of time.
Can you give me any estimate. I doubt you can give me a date, but are we talking days, weeks, or months?
The update I mentioned will be released as soon as all the current tasks are completed and properly tested, a time estimate would be directly affected by this. The update will be available as soon as possible, I really could not provide a time estimate unfortunatelly.
From the theme version you are using to the current one 8.7.3 it would already be somewhat of an important update. Much has changed since then, you can check the theme changelog here (bottom of the page)
