How to remove permanently delete categories or sub-categories

Hi,

I have searched many forum pages but cannot find what I need.

I want to know how to permanently delete a category or sub-category.

For example, how do I delete the sub-categories like “campus” or “student life” of the “College” category. Or How do i delete the “college” category completely.

Basic WordPress functions – might want to visit the ‘codex’ on WordPress.org to learn the basics of WordPress which are not theme specific.

Categories are created, deleted, managed at admin > posts > categories

Menus are managed typically at admin > appearance > menus
