For smart list 6, what would I remove in includes>smart_lists>td_smart_list6.php so that the list item number doesnt show in the top left corner?
Alternatively I can use smart list 7 and remove the header pagination Next and Previous if it’s easier and it looks as if it will accomplish the same thing.

You can remove the smartlist number by removing or commenting out this code:

Then you need to remove the title’s padding to move it to the left:
You can do this with 2 methods. Either put this code in the theme panel->custom css
.td_smart_list_6 .td-sml-current-item-title {
padding-left: 0!important;}
Or you can edit the style.css file and set padding-left to 0:

Keep in mind that if you update, modifications to style.css will be lost.

Actually Bogdan, I noticed the CSS change doesnt work for moving the headline over to the left http://screencast.com/t/Z7IV8ANTBL (it removed the number, I just inserted a number into the title thats why it says 1.)

So I updated to 6.6 and it looks like because you fixed the duplicate content appearing on smart list 7 and 8, you re-wrote the code and now I don’t know what to remove to remove the list item number http://screencast.com/t/ErNWd6BXFPd

On smart list 8 is a whole different matter. The numbers cannot be targeted only for this particular smartlist. You can only remove the numbers for all the smartlists. Smartlist 8 gets the number from the global smartlist number code. You can follow this topic to remove that one: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/smart-list-8/
