How to resize my pictures in batch in posts ?

Hello All,

In all my post (more than 500) all my pictures are in full size.

I noticed some editors upload pictures which are 2000 X xxx which make some post load very slowly.

I would like to set a smaller size by default like 1024 x xxx for all the post and avoid the editor to upload picture which are too big.

However i would also need to resize all my pictures in batch without being cropped or shrank so they keep the same aspect ratio and appear with the proper dimension in the posts.

Would you have a plugin or a way to recommend me to perform this bulk resize task ?
How to limit the size on upload ?
