How to shorten the text displaying in the abstract of post grids?

I found that it almost displays the entire article in the content grid. How can I shorten the length as people will not click into the post if they already got the idea from the LONG abstract. By the way, I have set up “read more” dividing line in post.

Please get back to my query as soon as possible as I’m rushing for launching my blog. Thanks a bunch.

Hello,
The excerpts in our theme, if they are set to display a certain number of words, they will depend on the word spacing. Your language does not use spaces after words so the theme thinks all of the content is just one big word. Please change the excerpt type to letters here: http://screencast.com/t/2fxwQcB9lI
